Erftverband - Watermanagement for Our Region The Erft region in the year 2045: A healthy habitat for man and his environment, where the requirements of industry, agriculture and urban development are in harmony with the needs of nature, without mutually excluding each other - this ist not a utopian dream but the ambitious vision of the Erftverband.
The Erftverband is a non-profit organisation under public law, with a focus on a healthy environment and the common good. Its overall area of operations comprises 4,220km² with approximately 2.7 million inhabitants. The Erftverband plans, builds and operates groundwater measurement facilities, wastewater treatment plants, stormwater basins, flood water retention reservoirs and maintains the water courses in the Erft river catchment area.
